Keep text in mind

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between flipping and rotating?
Rotating turns the image 90° or 180° like a printed page. Flipping mirrors it - horizontally swaps left and right, vertically turns it upside-down like a reflection in water.
Does flipping flip any text in the photo?
Yes. Any text, logos or readable signs in the picture are mirrored too. If that matters, flip in your camera settings before shooting instead.
Does flipping lose quality?
A mirror does not throw pixels away, but the image is re-encoded on export, which for JPG applies one more round of lossy compression at the standard high quality.
